1-2 BR Private Bath / Summer Sublet

Summer Rooms Sublet June 1 (flexible).

One room for $750 or two rooms for $1250 with private bath, basement level. First and last months rent up front, plus renters insurance (lemonade is supposedly easy) Utilities should run about $100 per person....

Unfurnished but we could provide some furniture if need be.

ABOUT OUR HOUSE:

Our house is about 1800 square feet with a finished basement. There is lots of art and plants everywhere. We have a front AND back porch area and a huge backyard. We are in the process of planting a big garden and turning the garage into a wood workshop.

The main room we are renting is about 15x12 feet with access to a private bathroom and two closets. There is another smaller bedroom also available next door to it. Plentiful on street parking.

We are about 5 minutes away from Memorial Park and 8 minutes from Downtown Colorado Springs by car. We are around the corner from a small supermarket and Walgreens. However you will need a car to live here.

ABOUT US:

We are a couple, both academics and artists 41M and 44F. He works from home in the backyard studio while he finishes his PhD dissertation. She is a teacher and is off until August. We drink a lot of tea and go for hikes and work on our respective art projects.

ABOUT YOU:

We are looking for a clean, chill subletter for the summer months. Single occupant or potentially a couple, no pets or frequent overnight house guests. No drugs, smoking or frequent alcohol use. You are busy, don’t work from home and just need someplace quiet and comfortable to rest.

We are a queer friendly house, so no religious fundamentalists or bigots please. Once in a while we make a bunch of food and have people over but otherwise keep things pretty chill.

If you’re interested, reach out with some info about yourself and we can set up a time for a FaceTime or zoom call. If that goes well we can set up a time for you to come by and check out the space. We will want to run a background check and have a reference from a prior landlord before you move in.
